Default Winning Play

Hi everybody!

My question is: In case I am a winning player, after which time (how many hours) should I reach the zone were my money finally stays more than I bought in. I know it can take several sessions but how long finally could it take.

I still want to formulate it other way: After which playing time can I really be sure that I'm a winning player (or not).

Thanks in advance, Dai.

Default Re: Winning Play

Hours = H

Given your mean and standard deviation

AFTER H hours you should have profit ~99.98% of the time

H * Mean(in $/HR) - 3 * STD DEV(in $/hr) * SQRT(H) = 0

Default time unit: the dealer

This thing about when does someone get knighted into windom, it's really just about time units. I think we should scrap hours and days and the usual units and start using the "dealer."

As in:

"I haven't won a pot in three dealers."

Or:

"Good players make one bet per dealer."

Or, conceivably:

"I’ll meet you at the casino in three dealers and we'll have at least one dealer before the movie starts."
