When the board pairs and he is still raising, it's time to slow down, especially on the river.

I don't know what all the "gay gay gay" stuff means at the end of the post. I assume you are upset with your loss. You can take some comfort in the fact that you were never ahead at any point. At least he didn't suck out on you.

see thats what i love about this site ... there's always people on here with brilliant advice

I do now believe i lost a good $12 on that hand .. I dont think the check raise was a bad idea on the turn .. but capping it there was ... and betting in to him on the river was a big mistake too not to mention capping there!! I was oblivious to the possibility of a boat I must admit ... well just thought it highly unlikey anyway ... I went mad because I thought it was very unlikely he would o flopped his hand along with mine and if he had it then being the K ... so yes the GAY GAY GAY was for my sheer dissappointment!!

Thanks for your quick reply

When you get three bet on the turn, you need to slow down.

You don't have the nut flush, and the board is now paired. Do you think your opponent is putting in all of these bets with a jackhigh flush?

I'm not sure how I feel about the turn cap, when you checkraise the turn on that board its a move showing a lot of power. He then 3-bets so he most likely has a strong, strong hand. That said the turn cap isn't that bad as you'll sometimes be ahead here. However, when you lead out on the river and he brushes it off and raises yet again you have no business 3-betting unless your opponent is a real maniac.

Then you might go one more bet, but it depends on your opponent. Some you should have slowed down on the first raise. With three to a flush on board, a checkraise frequently is a flush, so what hands would your opponent reraise with?
