Kx and Qx Suited Playable vs limpers?
Question for all -
Kx & Qx (suited) x = 9 or below Lately I've seen these hands quite a bit on Paradise .50-1.00 tables. I usually muck these pre-flop even against limpers if I'm in MP and LP. Obviously if I'm in the SB or BB I take a flop and pass if it doesn't hit. Am I losing anything by passing on these hands LP or MP vs. say 3-5 limpers??? I've seen some pretty good pots (for micro-limit)taken lately with these hands. I just don't want to start another leak or a "bad-habit" by considering playing these in earlier positions. Advice? |

Re: Kx and Qx Suited Playable vs limpers?
Yes, sometimes there are huge pots made by this type of hands, which led me to believe they would be playable for a profit. (Well, perhaps they are, but just not for me ) However, other knowlegeable 2+2:ers told me to fold them (see this post).
In my pokertracker database, I have records of 14 Qxs which I have played from LMP and LP (I know, I know, don't hit me), and none of them has yet won (results so far -$13.5). |

Re: Kx and Qx Suited Playable vs limpers?
Muck them except BB and maybe SB. Even AXs is a questionable hand. You have to have tons of limpers to make it worth while. If its raised before you, muck it.
You just don't flop 2 or 3 of a suit often enough to make this a normal playing hand (even though I find myself playing AXs way too much). Jim |
