Is checking the river weak tight? Or does it fall into the catergory of only hands that will beat you will call?

i don't like the preflop raise, but it's not that bad. still, out of position with jacks in a threeway or fourway pot, you usually don't want to raise preflop. here, you would have won the pot if you hadn't made it so big by raising preflop, and that kind of thing happens often when you raise with jacks.

you definitely should bet this river and expect a call from a worse hand. it's just bad luck that your opponent made an accidental top pair while drawing to a straight.

Sorry crock, but this is horrible advice. Raise JJ w/9 limpers in the SB/BB. You have the 4th best hand you can be dealt get the money in and build a pot for your big pair.

Again, worse hands will call and our hero had an unlucky river card. Bad players will call down with over cards all the time regardless of the pot size.

And this is why you raise preflop w/JJ.

Well, I agree that the larger pot may have enticed others to stay in, but anyone who limps and calls a raise at UTG+1 with K4o, and then stays in with a 3-straight on a 2-flush board might not be thinking about the pot odds.
