Canbet is very good. They have 7% juice where-as most others have 10% juice. Of course if you are serious about it then you always want two have accounts at two places in case one has a better line for a particular event.

(edit)...also, they accept Neteller deposits

I'm not certain on this, but I'm pretty sure that Americans are not allowed to play betfair, either by the site, or by American law.

Intertops has a bonus offer for sports betting that sounds good. I am sure you have received the email ads. But I am not sure if it is a good deal or not. You have to wager a certain amount, I suppose, before they release the bonus.

I'd throw some support behind sportsbook.com for this very reason -- as I only bet on sports once in a while, and mostly just to add a little more excitement to some random game, I'm not tremendously interested in getting an extra point here or there. Odds are not the most important thing to me in sports betting -- making sure I get paid, is.

Sportsbook.com has been reliable for me. Checks arrive quickly, and I find that I can deposit via credit card (can't with most sites), since they seem to change the name of their billing segment every week.

Actually it is generally illegal to take a sports bet (except as authorized by State law) but placing a bet is in a more gray are depending on the jurisdiction and method.
