Default Nolan Dalla\'s article in CP Deal Making at tournys

I agree with both his yin and his yang of deal making. He's specifically talking about TV tournaments but his comments could apply to non televised events as well.

Players pay their own money in tournaments and until the sponsors of these events put up some of their money they should not be allowed to dictate if deals can be made or not.

The solution is for TV networks to put up some cash. To me I don't understand how they don't. The WPT gets incredible ratings. The WSOP got good ratings. The channels that are showing them make a ton of money broadcasting these shows. I'm not against them making money but they could make the events that much better by jacking the pot. They could impose their silly seedings and no deal making rules that would make the WPT more palatable to the general, shampoo buying, public.
