Default The Stu Ungar Legend

The more people (rightly or wrongly) speak about how "overrated" Stu Ungar "really" was, the more the "believers" will stick to their beliefs that Stu Ungar indeed possessed supernatural playing and reading powers, thus the stronger his legend and myth will become.

Reminds me of a scene in the movie Braveheart. When a soldier saw Braveheart for the very first time, he was shocked at how short the man really was.

But now that Stu is gone, the "believers" will never get to see how "short" he really was, assuming of course that the critics are right about his "shortness".

Personally, I believe the truth is somewhere in the middle. His record in big buy-in nolimit holdem events prove that he was indeed a giant. And of course his sad personal stuggles proved his smallness. Also, I've never heard of any whosoever say anything good about Stu's ring game skills in any game.
