Default NLHE, I played this bad, but am I stupid, or was I manipulated?

.5-1 NLHE. 2 limpers to me and I make it $6 to go with AdKd. Two limpers call.

Flop comes J9Q with 1 diamond. UTG checks, next player bets $5 into me. I call. Other player folds.

Turn is the 8 of diamonds. He bets 1$, and I push in for the rest of my stack (over the pot size).

Stupid bet? How stupid? Did he trick me, or did I outplay myself?

It's not a good raise. He's either trying to bait you with a monster hand, or he's not. If he's not, he'll just fold to your raise, so your raise has no benefit.

The $1 bet is stupid on his part because it gives you such good odds to hit your flush.

yes, just call.

He'll fold a mediocre hand or a bluff and call only whit a better hand.

I agree u got plenty of outs but just pay the 1$ to see if you hit.
