Just unlucky?
$20 + $2 PL 40 joined, 20 left, top 5 get paid. I'm averaged stacked with ~T1700. Blinds are 50/100 all players are equal stacked involved.
I get T 8s in the BB and the button openlimps. SB completes and i check. Flop: T 4 2r. SB bets T200. I'm either ahead or way behind so i don't like calling this down, i decide he can't be too happy about his kicker if he has the T so i decide to try and get him to fold it. I raise the pot. Button calls. SB did fold. Turn: 6o When this decision came i had T765 left into a T3100 pot. I decided i was going to checkcall all in so with that logic i moved all in. Anyone fold here? I think i was just unlucky running into the buttons hand, i like my flop play and sitting with T765 left doesn't really appeal to me. Anyone fold the flop? Call down? Raise it? Fold the turn? |

Hah. Force of habit. This was meant to go in Tournments forum.

Re: Just unlucky?
You've got to get in there and mix it up given the blinds/stack ratio. I don't see any other play it than what you did. I also would have been more worried about SB than the button.

Re: Just unlucky?
I think the fact that the SB called a huge bet leaving him with very little implies a fair amount of strength esp. since there is no draw, he is unlikley to fold now, so I just don't think you could have the best hand now or get him to fold, so maybe just cut your losses.
