Default Acceptable Rake?

I live 10+ hours from the nearest legal casino. I play on the internet mostly, but recently stumbled onto a "home" game that charges rake. I am split on whether it is worth playing in this game due to the rake structure and looking for your thoughts. At a $20 pot one dollar is taken for rake and another dollar is taken for a bad beat jackpot. another dollar taken at $40 and one more at $60. $4 is the cap. Toking the dealer is also encouraged. This seems high to me since it is still a home game. I don't mind paying rake at a casino since I'm paying for the security of a fair game. The game seems on the up and up and I've done well, but it just seems that the house is raking too much off the table. How many would play in this game, or stick with the internet and occasional road trip? Thanks.

PS- I did not post this in the home game forum since it plays more like a B&M than a home game.
