Default 5-10 PLH

AK on the button, 1 MP and 1 LP caller, I raise to 40, blinds fold, they both call. I have about 2000, they both have me covered. Flop comes Q J 9 rainbow, and its checked around. Turn is an Ace, MP bets 75. LP folds, I raise to 200. He is an aggressive, tricky player. He massages a huge stack of greens, then calls. River is a deuce and he checks. My move?

Bet the flop. You have a big draw and was aggressive preflop. Your only reason for not betting the flop is you want to bust the player holding the K when the T falls.

I don't like giving tricky players another chance to fire at me when i'm nervous enough about my hand. Single pair isn't much of a hand at the river.

He either, slowplayed QJ J9 on the flop.
Bet his pair on the turn.
Bet his draw on the turn.
Bet his pair + draw on the turn.

Since you were on the button and he is tricky preflop he may have been checking to you on the eventful flop.

I'd check the river, only because i'm folding to a checkraise.
