Funny PL Omaha min-raise anecdote
$25 PL Omaha8 @ PartyPoker.
$4 in the pot. 5 players call a $2 bet on the turn, so we go to the river w/ $14 in the pot. The river card puts a flush on the board. It also pairs the board. New bettor bets $.50 into the $14 pot. Folded to a player who raises to $1. Initial bettor now re-raises to $16. Min-raiser now goes all-in for $25 total and initial bettor calls. All-in guy turned two pair and filled up on the river. Initial bettor made his flush. Anyway, I thought the river betting was pretty funny. That's all. |

Re: Funny PL Omaha min-raise anecdote
and you wonder why i prefer min bets to pointless big bluff bets.
i still don't get how anyone can think a min bet is the correct play in PLO, especially on the river. every time i see someone do that to extract an extra 50 cents or dollar with a flush on a paired board, then get check raised the full size of the pot, i smile a little inside. |

Re: Funny PL Omaha min-raise anecdote
I generally only smile at that when I am the one doing the check-raising. But then I grin like a Cheshire Cat.
