Default Open limping, Stars PLHE

$0.50/$1.00 blinds, 9-handed, fairly passive. I played this hand last night and the only good read I recall is that SB is fairly horrible.

I’m in MP with 97s.

I open limp. Button calls, SB completes and BB checks. Four see the flop with $4 in the pot.

Not sure how bad this open limp is. I figured I’d take a peak at the flop. Didn’t think I could steal because SB doesn’t know how to fold.

FLOP: [ 5 4 3 ] – rainbow.

SB bets $1. BB folds, me and the Button call. Three see the turn with $7 in the pot.

TURN: [ 5 4 3 ] [ 7 ] – 2 flush, not my suit.

SB checks, I bet $3. Button folds and SB calls. Two see the river with $13 in the pot.

RIVER: [ 5 4 3 7 ] [ 8 ] – 3 flush.

SB bets $4 and I call.

SB shows J3o for a pair of threes and my pair of sevens is good.

Not sure how badly I played this or how interesting the hand is. I’ve been wanting to start posting on this forum so I thought I’d get my first post out of the way.

Any input would be appreciated.
