Default Spread Games...

Hey,

I have been playing holdem for about 6 months, always with structured betting. I am now off to vegas this week and realized i have no clue how to play a spread game. I would really hate to have to sit down at one and be so worried about betting that I can't concetrate on cards and other players. Any help would be great!!

There is a post about this very thing in small stakes. Not much has been added, but the basics are simple. You are getting much better implied odds for you smaller pairs and suited drawing hands, especially when you can get it for the minimum. You should almost always bet and raise the maximum allowable, and occasionally limp/re-raise with your strongest hands (AA and AK's). I recommend the sections about spread games and loose games in HPFAP21.
