Best course of action for the Palestinians?

Regardless of what brought these two entities to this point, what would you think is the best course of action for the Palestinians.

a. Continue with the disorganized leadership, and militant group representation chaos.

b. Rally around an intelligent, influential leader that could court world sympathy and presumably, get them the best settlement for Palestinian people.

Following the current path (a), will almost certainly get them invaded by a far superior army. So, assuming that they have thier best interests at heart, that path seems to be the wrong one.

Is B possible?
