Party/Empire same players at the both sites

Anyone know what the angle? I have noticed that empire and party are almost identical in look and feel...THEN I noticed that there are party poker players playing at party and empire at the same time. Why? How are party and empire related if at all?

Its because they're the same. You log into the same servers, choose from the same tables. but you can get signup bonuses for both.
