Default Slow down with TPTK ?

Should I ever slow down with TPTK ? Against solid players I'm often seeing the flush or a set at the showdown here, but when he just calls the whole way I can't get away from it. I guess a river bet is sort of a "blocking bet" not a value bet?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed)
MP3 ($169.80)
CO ($99)
Button ($103.35)
SB ($119.05)
BB ($78.60)
UTG ($132.95)
Hero ($95)
MP1 ($51.40)
MP2 ($90.10)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.

<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $7</font>, MP3 calls $7.

Turn: ($23.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $15</font>, MP3 calls $15.

River: ($53.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

Default Re: Slow down with TPTK ?

against solid players, I would go for $25-$30 on the river and almost always fold to a raise. this is a tough spot to be in, but given the way the hand went there was no good place to slow down to control the pot.

against LAGs, I think the correct play is to check-call almost anything, but against solid players we don't really have that flexibility.
