Default scariest jump in limit?

As you recall moving up the chain of limits, what limit was the most intimidating the first time you played?

For me it was going from 3-6 to 6-12 and I've played up to 40-80, no limit and pot limit. I don't why 6-12 was so intimidating at the time. maybe cuz it was the biggest game in the house (except for no-limit Pai-Gow). Anyways I was just convinced that all the sharks were waiting for me in the 6-12 game.

Default Re: scariest jump in limit?

Gotta agree with you here, Boris. I think part of the reason was that it occurred early in my playing days, so I didn't realize that the skill level jump wouldn't be that bad. I only knew that I was increasing my risk. By the time I went to higher limits than that, I was more comfortable in a cardroom, and just saw the increase as a natural progression.

Funny thing, though, the few times I played 30-60 (largest jump in limits, size wise) I was unconcerned since this only meant playing with the same people I played 15-30 with.
