$22 Big Pairs 1st Level

First post ever,
I have a couple of somehow similar bigpair hands where I don't know exactly what to do. I have recently switched to the 20s from the 10s where I virtually never folded a big overpair postflop without reads or a fourflush- or fourstraightboard showing. Now is the donklevel at the 20s still big enough to make this routineplay profitable?

You are definitely in some tough spots here. But, I think that a lot of it originates from your low raises pre-flop. Although, they really aren't so bad. Honestly, if you are new to $20 games, they are not much harder than $10 games on Party. You will be fine. You have kept some very interesting hands here, and I think you do need to respect some of the bets of the opponents a little more than in $10 games, but all-in-all your decisions won't be as hard as the ones listed above.

Raise more preflop + call all of these.

I don't mind the PF raises at all. they are 3-4X the BB and isolated pretty well each time.

Hand 1: I think you have to let your rockets go here. The min. raise is suspicious and someone else is interested. At these limits, donkeys call preflop raises with QJ and a set is very possible as well. Not to mention, the Ace of hearts is probably not an out for you. Bad flop and action for aces, let em go.

Hand 2: Even though top set is a monster, I like a bigger bet on the flop to protect against the flush draw. Once the scare card comes, it's very tough. The call on the turn likely means a made flush that he is slow-playing as he could not call your flop bet with just the naked A-clubs. "Hero?" after the turn action doesn't make sense as he called and you get to see a river card???

Hand 3: This is the one hand I may be tempted to overplay. I don't think you can call his flop raise. Calling leaves you clueless on the turn I think I either push or fold to his reraise on the flop. This may deviate from typical WA/WB strategy, but calling essentially puts you in the same spot on the turn unless a Q falls.

1. I don't lay down aces very often, but I think you should in this particular spot (raise a bit more preflop and bet more on the flop)

2. I'd have bet around t150 on the flop. My bet on the turn would be a push, and then I don't face this problem [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

3. I'd probably shove it in on the flop after his reraise. I'm not happy about it though (calling his 3-bet is the worst option).
