Default What do you think of this AAxx play?

Pleae let me know what you think of my reraise preflop and my allin bet on the flop. Im not entirely certain that either one is characteristic of solid play but this is calling station central here.

preflop is fine, but your flop bet is only getting called if you are beat. and you are a dog to 3 random hands: 18% 27% 27% 27%

Since there was no flush draw, am I dog to any possible holdings outside of the made straight or a made set?

Once you reraise pre flop OOP 1/2 your stack, you are commiting yourself to putting it all-in on the flop. So I think your play is fine.

Absent any specific reads and generally assuming we are looking at the typical fishbowl that is Party PLO, do you make that reraise preflop every time?

Are you also assuming the same ability to get 50% of your stack in pre-flop? If your stack is deeper (and not even that much deeper), then I think you are setting yourself up for some rough times by making that reraise, especially if your reraise is getting 3 or 4 way action.

The whole reason that people say you need to be able to get most of your stack in pre-flop is because when you do, you are most likely going to have the best of it equity-wise. As soon as a majority of your money goes in after the flop jumbles up the equity and the relative strengths of the hands seeing the flop, you become much more likely to be making a mistake by putting that money in.

Yes. 2 pair or 1 pair + wrap.

I don't like getting only 1/2 my stack in with AA anytime in a multiway situation, but the worse they play and the more they will chase then the more willing I am to do it. And if I think I can get it headsup by that raise then I will do it everytime. When you do get it headsup like that, the worst flops for you are ones with a K or 2 nearby mid to broadway straight cards, since KK and 4-in-a-row straight hands are your most likely opponents.
