Default 4 bust hands from my $22s

I plugged all of these into SnGPT and they all came out as +EV of <.5%, so my call ranges may be a little biased. Does anybody else make these pushes?

I'm going to respond with what my action would have been, if only to bump this because these look like hard decisions for me, too. And I'd like to hear some thoughts from others.

Q2o Hand: I push this one as well. First in and on life support. Still have a little fold equity I think.

K8s : This one would have been harder for me, maybe would have passed depending on opponent. But I think calling is correct with 2.5:1 and a pusher who was in similar situation as my Q2o

34s : This one I would have passed. I know the blinds are hitting you in 2 hands, but given your early position, I think I'd hope for something better in two hands as it's too likely someone is calling.

KJo : I hate this spot, too. I like to use M and it's under 5 here. Pushing with this hand seems pretty good to me, but I'm closing my eyes and expecting to be done. Possibly folding if the folks behind me are reeaally loose.

I would have guessed that hand 1 (the Q2o hand) would be an instashove. Well it isn't, and maybe that is why I suck at SNGs.

With your position, stack size and 7 players left, you should be pushing with 38% of your hands. The nice thing about having 7 players left is that your push % is almost totally independant of the other stack sizes.

The other thing is that you aren't pushing the right type of hands. Q2o doesn't play very well against a wide calling range. Against the top 45% of all hands, it will only 36.5% of the time. Compare that with a hand like T8s that will win 41% of the time. It depends a lot on the suspected calling ranges, but you should tend to value suited connectors types more against small ranges and big cards more against larger ranges.

FWIW - SNGPT has this at a -0.6% push against the optimal calling ranges. There is just about no way that pushing this hand is +EV.

I should add that this pushing stategy for this hand is not defeatable. You will win with every hand in the range no matter what their calling strategy is.

Hand 1 is a fold, unless you know these big stacks fold too much.

Hand 2 could likely go either way. With a table as full as this one is, I'd be more inclined to fold.

Hand 3 - no comment

Hand 4 - I think you'll find more people will push this utg, than utg+1. Anyhow, my opinion is that you have the ~ third biggest stack, look for a smarter option.

Hand 1: horrible, but the less hands there are til the blinds go up, the less horrible this push is.
Hand 2: read dependant, since calling + losing essentially knocks you out
Hand 3: pretty much have to push any two.
Hand 4: good.

how is Q2o a fold? these players are not playing optimally.
if SB calls with 22+,A2+,KQ and BB with 22+,A2+,K7+,QJ this is .2 + EV

Optimal calling ranges are 42% for the SB and 46% for the BB. If they call wider you can't win (even if the SB calls 100%). If they both call 30% you still lose. Remember that you only have 4xbb so they are going to be calling a lot here.

Figure the next hand if you fold. The nash eq. will be something like 32% push. If you don't find a good hand there you fold and push the next which will be 27% or whatever. Yeah sometimes you don't get the chance to push, but your calling range should be wide with just 4bb as well. You can certainly pick a better spot then this.
