Default $22 - BB - Overpair 8\'s

Party Poker 20+2 No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (8 handed)

SB (t695)
Hero (t830)
UTG (t835)
UTG+1 (t720)
MP1 (t2545)
MP2 (t590)
CO (t820)
Button (t965)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
4 folds, CO calls t30, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (t90) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t80, CO is all-in t790, SB folds, Hero ??

CO had been limping fairly regularly and had only shown down Q9 so far.
CO's bet really made no sense to me. The only thing I could think of was that he had somethink like A4 or some overcards like KJ and was trying to push me off my X5. But he could also have anything from 22-QQ. Where 66 and 77 are the only hands I beat.

Easy fold? or should I be thinking about calling here?

I think you get away from this hand. There's a chance you are ahead, but blinds are low and you have plenty of FE. Make sure to give this donk a earful of [censored], and let it go. Move forward.

I'd insta-fold this. In the 22s there are a lot of players who will call an all-in reraise once they've put 80 chips in the pot. My guess is that your opponent is hoping you're one of them.

Not easy.
I think TT-AA usually raise preflop. But even if we count these out most of the time, it's close. We beat a bluff, A2-A5 and 66-77. We loose to other pp's and to FD+overs.

Flip a coin.

Lose to A3 as well don't forget...

Could be a donk who overvalues his flush draws, and pushing for that...more likely he has something and is playing it fast so to make you pay for any draws you have....

I do find these hard to lay down at the $22/$33 level, with so many donks about though, its a coinflip really as stated above to what he has.....as he will still have plenty of outs on you even if your ahead....

I call in a lot of these spots - justifying it with the '% of donk bets I beat' logic. I win a lot of large pots this way - but sometimes look like a large donk in the process. I know this raises my variance....but it works out pretty well for me more often than not...

Anyways - if you use the '% of donk bets I beat here' logic...the call is close - but I think even I would fold here.

Don't the ones that limp in all the time usually overbet made twopairs + ? Is that standard? Seems I've seen that a lot.

Let me know.

I fold.

villain probably an over pocket pair such as 6's giving him the gutshot or possibly has the A5 of spades giving him straight and/or flush draw. These are most likely the only hands we are ahead of.

Just too many hands we are behind including 2 pair.

I fold.

You have enough chips left to let someone else find out if he is really a bluffing maniac or just someone pretending to be a bluffing maniac.

Once you know that, you know whether to stay out of his way or to trap him.

What the [censored]...

The flop is 5 high. If you're going to give villian a range, at least make it realisitc.

i think you gotta toss it. you're barely ahead of A9 and a significant dog to A9s. hard to know what he has, but it's hard to think you're ahead of his range.
