Default river raise

I had real bad image at this table. Nobody believes I ever have anything. With that in mind, was the river good?

I raise utg with 88. BB only calls.

Flop is KQ10 (2 hearts). *** FLOP *** [Qh 10d Kh]

BB checks. I bet, bb calls.

Turn is 8s. BB checks, I bet, BB raises. I call.

River is 5c. BB bets, I raise, BB reraises. I call.

Are you suggesting that raising here may have been foolish. To me the only questions are to cap the 3 bet or not and to raise the turn or wait until the river.

And you don't give any reads, but I probably cap and I think waiting for river or raising the turn is almost always a coin flip.

Now that a little time has passed, it occurs to me that this is actually a pretty results-oriented post. Villain - who was playing pretty straightforward - had a straight and I was trying to figure out my river action made sense. But in retrospect, I think it was reasonable to believe he might have only had 2 pair, particularly given my image.

Doesn't seem so interesting to me now, after some time has passed. Sorry.
