Default Strange sound problem

I just got a brand new Dell E-310, and I've got Poker Tracker and just got PokerAce and everything is great except for one thing - I lose my sound and I can't figure out why.

Sounds works when I turn my computer on, and if I don't play poker. Sounds works if I play one or two sites. But when I have PT and PA running, I lose sound. I have to reboot to get it working again, but it really seems to be connected to PT and/or PA, and it doesn't take long for the sound to disappear again.

Anyone have any ideas? This is driving me crazy ...

Default Re: Strange sound problem

i've seen this happen with software audio and poker as well. playing 2 sites simultaneously, one will stop audio output until the computer is rebooted. i don't think it's PT/PA related. if it's happening constantly you could try getting a cheap full-hardware pci sound card like a soundblaster live.
