AQs play along with me
ok i was unsure about to do on every street here so i wanna go through it step by step.
one of the reasons i was stuck was it was my first hand at the table so no reads. party 100pl 6 max hero has A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the bb 2 limps to the button who raises to 3, i call along with the 2 limpers. this was the only street i was fine with but i think you can argue for a raise too. flop ($12) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hero.... |

Re: AQs play along with me
Bet $10-$15 here with your TPTK, unless you plan on check-folding.

Re: AQs play along with me
ok seems like i got the flop just about right.
i bet 10 and got called by one of the limpers and the button pf raiser which leads me to what i think is the most interesting street. i hated being out of position and considered a variety of options on the turn. if you could give me some likely hand ranges for mp and btn here that would be good to. turn ($42) 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hero.... effective stacks 77 now. thx paul |

Re: AQs play along with me
Bet $25-30
I think you got the best hand here. If you don't you'll sure find out now. Any 2pair or set will probably push here and then you can fold without being pot committed. If you don't get raised, MP probably has KQs, QJs, JTs BTN probably has KQs, QJs, JTs, AJ, AQ maybe even AT |

Re: AQs play along with me
did you see remaining stack sizes an the fact i picked up nut diamond draw. if i bet 25-30 i am most definitely pot committed.

Re: AQs play along with me
You can bet out on pot, or a stop and go isnt horrible. Remember, you dont want to play a giant pot here.

Re: AQs play along with me
I think at this point, you want to be getting all your money in, so we need to think of the best way to do that. Checkraising is a power move where your opponents will lay down a worse hand and call with a better hand. When either opponent holds a set, you don't have enough equity to make this move. The problem is that, while you are drawing, you still have a hand to protect. I think you either have to bet just under half your stack, so about $30, or push right then and there. This is a really interesting turn situation. Personally, I see myself wanting to bet the pot, and then realizing I don't have enough to do so, and just pushing.

Re: AQs play along with me
with the size of your stack and the pot i'm basically torn between a push and just potting it....i'd probably lean towards potting, and if someone pushes i'm probably calling.
