(from the limited sample size in PT it looked like he had a little loose starting requirements) I did however think a little before I bet the turn and even longer when deciding to make the call of the turn checkraise (I know many don't like these types of tell, but I put it down anyway for those who thinks this information has value) Do you make the call? Edit: coments on the turn are also welcome. Note too that I have only 84$ left on the river |

Re: QQ facing heat, do you make the call?
Well, if you call the turn c/r, with your stack size, you have to anticipate what is probably coming on the river. A push. Call the turn c/r, call the river. Nothing's really changed from then to now. Otherwise fold back on the turn.

I see no reason to bet this turn with no read.

Re: QQ facing heat, do you make the call?
I'm folding to the turn check raise unless this guy is a habitual bluffer. WTF does he do this that you beat except a bluff. There are better places to get your money in. Oh and I check this turn in position like 80% of the time. Loose starting requirements doesn't mean he pays off.

The best way to facilitate that is to keep the pot small. Because bet size increases exponentially, checking the turn will save you quite a few dollars against villain's handrange. Yes, once in awhile, he may catch something on the river that he would have folded had you bet the turn. But, this small disadvantage is far outweighed by your ability to call any decently sized bet he makes on the river. |

ok.. would you follow a different line here? [/ QUOTE ] as everyone has said, the prefered line is to lead flop, check turn, and call a bet on the river. as played either fold to the c/r or call the ai... |

Re: QQ facing heat, do you make the call?
I'll check the next time then.. That was also my first thought as I know this is often a recommended line on this forum. Kinda of stupid to expect to extract more from 99 TT or JJ here (I also thought there was a slight possibility that he had something goofy like 57s, maybe in clubs).
Anyway I called his allin just before the meter ran out and villain flipped over K6 and I won the pot. I just felt his line was too weird and didn't make alot of sense. I still expected to see 88 or 66 tho.. |

Re: QQ facing heat, do you make the call?
You made your river decision once you called the raise on the turn.
