Revenge of the Bar Stool Pundits. Ouch! Week 10 here we go.
Man, I was getting so used to slaughtering the NFL that last week really stung. The first losing week of the year always hurts. Usually that's over with by week 3 at the latest but hey, what can I say, I love my Bar Stool Pundits. Let's get back on track this week.
Our record so far is a little less lopsided than before: 6-16-2 Still not bad. Here we go. Carolina -9 vs. Jets This is a stinking ugly game. Who in their right mind would take the Jets here? Not me. Wait, YES ME! The BSPs are lining up with their inlaws' money to bet the Cats this week. I'm on the Jets. I have a vague memory of the Jets having no chance to cover last week vs the Chargers... Washington -1 at Tampa Tampa is reeling, Washington is flying high. Yahoo Experts unanimously pick the one point road fave. This is one ugly freaking game. You have to have your head examined to put money on Tampa here. That's all for now. Some contenders which may become full fledged BSP picks by Sunday morning include Denver, KC and New England (meaning we may put money on the Raiders, Bills, and Dolphins. Damn that's ugly). As always, good luck no matter what side you take. I'll be on: Jets Bucs natedogg |

New England is currently 82% - 18% at Wagerline, the largest differential of the season.

Some of them get rejected, usually for good reason, each week

Yeah, New England should be THE BSP pick this week. But then Seattle should've been it last week.
I cashed with Seattle and I'm on New England this week. Pats won't lose twice in a row. Hopefully they cover. |

Not to mention, the Colts/Texans game is actually suprisingly balanced. 17.5 is a lot of points, and a lot of people have money on the Texans here. Wagerline shows 44% Houston to 56% Indy, not even a consensus pick (defined as 59% or higher).

Re: Revenge of the Bar Stool Pundits. Ouch! Week 10 here we go.
the colts did not cover their first 2 home games of the year, and they've had relatively close calls in each of the last 3 times they've given double digit spreads. they beat the texans by "only" 18 the last time they played, and houston is coming off their most confident performance of the season vs. Jax.
also, wide receiver Wayne is not 100%, though he is currently still scheduled to play. also, Indy may go slightly softer on Carr in preparation for a more crucial game at Cincy next week. this ain't the BCS so a win's a win, they don't have to destroy them. of the books that are currently hanging 17.5 on the game, the majority of them are shaded towards the dog, including Pinnacle. |
