windows media player

my windows media player isnt let me burn cd's. ill create a burn list and it only burns 2 songs onto the cd. always 2, whether i put 3 or 12 songs onto the burn list. any ideas whats causing this?

can i delete the program and reinstall it to fix this?
i have a large music library, from my own uploaded cd's and limewire downloads. i dont want to lose this, so should i take any precautions to avoid that.
