Newbie easy computer question HELP!

How do I delete a movie from my hard drive? If I delete it by right click deleting it, it doesnt change the space on my hard drive at all. So how do I completely remvoe it? thanks

Right click the trash can and select "Empty".

in the future, to immediately delete goat-porn you can just select it and press shift+del on the keyboard.
