Default DSL Modem Diagnostic Help

Ran a dignostic on my DSL modem, results in bold below. Looks to me like I have some issues. Upstream bit rate looks crappy, downstream looks ok, but I don't really understand the numbers. Could someone put things in perspective for me?

ADSL Status ADSL Connection: Up
Re-sync Count: 1
ADSL Mode: ITU G.992.1(G.DMT)
Downstream Bit Rate: 1536 Kbps
Upstream Bit Rate: 128 Kbps
Downstream Capacity Occupation: 78%
Downstream Noise Margin: 9.0 dB
Downstream Attenuation: 59.0 dB
Downstream Output Power: 19.0 dB
Upstream Capacity Occupation: 31%
Upstream Noise Margin: 24.0 dB
Upstream Attenuation: 31.5 dB
Upstream Output Power: 11.5 dB

unless you are letting people access you pc for p2p file sharing don't worry about the upstream rate. 256 is the norm for adsl but 128 is acceptable are you having any problems?

upstream is standard for low-cost broadband. the noise/power/etc all refer to signal strength. if you're concerned because of the up speed, don't worry about it. if you're concerned because your connection is dropping or sucking, head over to the dslreports forums.
