$22: QQ Early
Another hand for evaluation, guys.
Early in $22 10man on UB, blinds are 15/30 and there are 9 players remaining. There is only one short stack of 430 and the big stack has 2300. With an average stack in middle position, I pick up QQ. UTG+1 raises to 105 and it folds around to me. I reraise to 400 and it folds back to the Villain, who calls my reraise. The pot is ~t950 The board comes 6d 7d 7s Villain (~t1100) checks Hero (~t1000) goes all in Did I play this hand too fast? Since it's early, I don't have a read on this guy other than I've seen him play somewhat aggressively. My logic was that any kind of bet commits me to the pot so I might as well push and hope he calls me with a lesser PP. Thoughts? Thanks, guys. |

Re: $22: QQ Early
Reraising to t400 is a bit high.
But really, if you lose to a 7, you lose to a 7. |

Re: $22: QQ Early
Well, I wasn't worried about the 7. My guess is that he had a big Ace. But probably not AK since most idiots at the $22s think AK is a guaranteed winner.
With that in mind, my raise was intended to feel him out and entice an all in. At the $22s, I've seen tons of players make a reraise all in with as little as 55. My quandry, then, is this - is there a better way I could have extracted chips from this guy? |

Re: $22: QQ Early
I think your push on the flop is fine. The pot is plenty big enough and I'd hate to make a bet, get called, and see a K/A peel off.
