Default Poker Social Groups

How ethical are poker social groups? It seems like a lot of top players are all friends with each other. I assume this from viewing pro's websites with picture gallerys--zeejustins for example. We all know from high school that certain groups rule the school. Do certain Poker groups rule the the poker world? and are these groups taking advantage of all the novice poker players? Should we start killing poker players in this county like we did in the past? Ok the last one was just a joke, but it did really happen.

Run, don't walk to your local cardroom, then you might have a chance.
