Default Mac can\'t keep up

I am using a Mac and playing at pokerroom.com and it is impossible to multitable because it slows down way too much. I am not very computer oriented, so can someone tell me what I have to do to fix this? Is it just more RAM or is there something I can do to adjust my settings?
