Delirium Tremens - Best tasting beer in the world?
I bought a pint of this stuff a couple of weeks ago, and i'll have to say, I was rather disappointed. There was something metallic to the aftertaste, not like bud light metallic, but something else. The packaging is awesome, i love opening a beer like a bottle of champagne. I like Duvel, La Chouffe, Chimay and many others better. Still a great beer.

I wouldn't say that I find it tinny, but I definitely like a lot of other Belgians over Delirium Tremens. In fact, the same people brew a darker beer called Delirium Nocturnum that I like far more than Delirium Tremens.

I've narrowed my favorite beers down to three choices: the last one, the current one and the next one.

Re: Delirium Tremens - Best tasting beer in the world?
I meant my post as Tremens being not really worth discussing, I'd rather have a Newcastle (or one of many other beers). But let me elaborate a little.
I did some research about this and supposedly DT was voted "best beer" by "specialists" in 1997. This is probably why I'm not a huge fan, usually foods and drinks that are considered great by experts end up going over my head. All in all, I just am not crazy about the taste. Swede |

I agree I think it is highly overrated. But then again I am not a huge Beligum fan anyway, I like the American Brews like Rogue, Stone, Dogishhead, etc.. alot better.

Re: Delirium Tremens - Best tasting beer in the world?
I thought Trappist Westvleteren 12 was mostly considered the best beer in the world?
