Default He past the first test. Now what? (General line NL50)

Common situation.

6-max. You are playing TAG, say 23/9.

You raise in position and get 1 caller (from the blinds or limp-caller, this is irrelevant).

You CB, he calls and checks the turn.

You have a good, but not great hand. Say TPGK/TPTK/Overpair.

I understand that all of this is player and board dependent, but I would like to hear your thoughts on these lines

1) Turn: bet/fold to checkraise, River: Bet/fold to cr.
2) Turn: check, River: check/call, if he checks Bet/fold to
cr.
3) Turn: bet/fold to cr, River: check behind if he checks.

The board:

1) Rainbow with 2 broadway cards

2) Really draw heavy.

Villians range in board 1: TPWorseK, small-med pair, 2 pair/set, some kind of weird draw he picked up on the turn

In board 2: All kinds of draws, 2 pair/set(unlikely), TPworseK or worse...

Edited to be more specific.

Wow, there are so many variables at play here that I just don't even know where to begin. So much depends on board texture, the likelihood that you'll improve, the likelihood that villain with drop a better hand, etc. This question can't be answered without more specifics.

Come on, is this really so boring?

I was wondering if bet/fold to cr, bet/fold to cr is the best line here.

1) People will see that they can face a bet on all subsequent streets and will less likely call your continuation bet on the flop.

2) You will get value from worse hands to compensate for the times you are crushed by a set/2 pair.

3) You will make the most with this line when YOU have a set/top 2.

I'm questioning the second and third statements...
