Default Monday Night Game

Anybody playing the Monday nighter? The Colts are the best I've seen this year, but laying 13.5 in the NFL is never easy. I might just lay off, but I figured I'd hear some others' thoughts.

Favorites are 45-38-3 YTD and were 9-3-1 this week. I'm not at all convinced underdogs have lost their value based on 6 short weeks of play. The correction will come.

I agree that their will be some kind of correction. But, I also think that the correction might not be as much as it was in the past. I think in some ways the general public is learning more about "square" bets. Since "square" bets are generally associated with taking the fav, I think more people are betting on dogs now than in the past. This is all speculation on my part, but I talk to a lot of "squares" and it seems that they are taking more dogs than in the past. I guess what I am saying, is that just becase the favs are covering more, this does not mean that the books are losing any money. Of course, it could just be an abberation. What do I know?

Yeah, I agree with that craig. However, I haven't seen favorites giving fewer points this year, relatively speaking, than they have in past years. The market has not corrected itself IMO. In addition, with "squares" winning this week and maybe even YTD, they may be even more emboldened to continue to bet their winnings on favorites the rest of the year.
