"We Were Solders" Movie Pre-Review

A few months back I read the book “We Were Soldiers Once and Young”. It was a different kind of book on Vietnam, a book about the first great battle between our Air Cavalry and NVA regulars, when the war was new and our men, volunteers all, were as inspired and committed as our opponents.


The movie, with Mel Gibson, is coming out this Friday. I’m guessing from the trailer and the book it will be very good, maybe even a classic.

Also found a review at the link below. I hope someone gets out to see it and post a review. I hope to check it out the middle of next week.
