Default What ever happened to eLROY?

For a while, I'd been posting as MobPsycho at wilmott.com.

Now I have a new web site with about three hits total at 2uLive.com.

I haven't played poker for ever. And I probably won't, because I must be rusty, and I am afraid if I get un-rusty it will reallocate neurons away from other skills which I have been practicing.

I miss you guys. Except that awful leather trader from LA, what's his name...

You said you were going to be in town for Mason and David's seminar in April. I had all the feathers in my great white wings cleaned.

Hey eLROY:

Do you know anything about that online school Wilmont offers? Is it acclaimed? Is it hard to get in to or is it just more of a pay them 10K and take the classes? I would love to learn that stuff in a more formal setting (I already am studying some of it on my own) and someday move from poker player to trader but I don't want to pay 100K or waste 4 years going to real graduate school .

Thanks

-glenn

The course is not accredited, but the name Wilmott has top-tier recognition (as do the other lecturers).

I've heard the course is really good. But then again, I don't hang out in any forums where criticism wouldn't be deleted.

I say yes, take the course, it organizes and delivers a very broad sweep of material in an efficient way.

I would say buy and read Wilmott and Hull first to make sure you are ready for the high-speed math. Then pay for the course as a self-disciplinary method.

Stating with confidence that you have mastered the curriculum, accompanied with an enumeration of what it contains, will also look good to an employer.

More than anything, the course will enable you to speak the language. Then you can talk to people, and keep track of what is going on in real time.

eLROY,

I checked out the willmot.com website and found it interesting. But one thing really set my skin crawling. In the second photo down (B&W) of the Lecturer: My immediate reaction was, JESUITS! Don't get too close to those intellectual monsters; they will suck your brain dry. Just a friendly warning.

Your website is- well, interesting. I have a suggestion- install some jpg photos of some hotties in each corner of the website and sexy up the name. You will do much better. I want a 10% skim of your profits (after taxes) for the above idea. Good Luck.

I seriously contemplated going the porn route. After all, my site had been up like two days, and I had maybe 200 hits, no registered users, and not even a hint of my first "listing."

BTW, in the photo of the lecturer (we call him "Monty"), you will notice the early development of some vestigial wings. Rest assured, these are nothing like the Great White Wings borne by Dynasty.
