Default What would happen if... (LC)

This is a hypothetical situation I am curious about, spurred by a comment made by a player right after I sat down at a party 11, "Everyone, go all-in right now, It'll be fun! (of course, he was the only one who went all-in).

What would happen if everyone went all-in on the first hand of a STT? Since all pre-flop chip stacks are equal, who would come in 2nd, 3rd, etc? Would we all tie for 2nd except the winner?

Thanks in advance,

MisterW

Big Blind would come in 10th assuming he didn't win the pot..
Small Blind 9th

Everyone else would split 2nd/3rd

Winner would ride the rush.. biaatcch

So in a Party 11, first place would take $50 and the remaining 7 (assuming BB and SB don't win) would equally split the remaining $50?

I assume you mean that chip stacks are sized before the cards are dealt in order to determine who comes in 2nd/3rd etc? In this case, where there would be one winner if everyone goes all-in on the first hand, the winner would take first prize and the other 9 players would split the remaining (2nd and 3rd) prizes. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance

If I was BB in this situation I would fold cuz Im not retarded. Aces will win a 10handed game 30% right?
call
.3*$50 = $15
.7*(50/9)=$5.56
net =$20.56

fold

90% chance of second
10% chance of third (assuming a split)

.9*$30=$27
.1*$20=$ 2
net =$29

There, I found a situation where its correct to fold aces.

Edited cuz Lori beat me to it
