got up early, hit the outgoing tide near my work. fished for 45 minutes, missed about 8 bites, hooked and landed 3 striped bass, 17-19 inches. in my office by 8.

Nice. Friends of mine fish the East River for striped bass but they always toss it back.

When you go home do you spear fish, use a net, regular fishing pole (looks like fly fishing but I don't know much about it, casting and reeling repeatedly), or are you one of those dudes with 50 bamboo poles taking up a quarter mile strip of otherwise good ocean to swim in?
