Here is a link to a "libertarian purity test" on Prof Bryan Kaplan's website. I scored a 156/160:
Libertarian Purity Test Not related, but also check out on his site his excellent museum of communism: Museum of Communism |

I got a 48.
This test is severely flawed and assumes that a "perfect" libertarian is an anarchist. The author is welcome to his opinion, but is wrong. |

[/ QUOTE ] Before accessing it, tell me if it contains this question: Would you assume the position of Moderator on a web message board (such as 2+2), a position that allows you to censor posts and ban posters? Just curious. |

Funny Cyrus.
Libertarian philosophy pertains to limitations on the role of government, and allows private entities great latitude as to whatsoever they choose to do. Censorship within a private entity is vastly different than censorship for all persons which is imposed by the government. If you want to invite all of your friends over for dinner, but stipulate that they must wear yellow shoes and cannot say the word "Fandango" whilst on your premises, that entirely is your prerogative, and a Libertarian would support your right to set such guidelines for your guests. When the government tries such a stunt; that is what the Libertarian objects to. Hope this helps |

Interesting that he posted a pic of Ayn Rand in the test, she actually despised libertarianism.

The way the questions are written is a hoot!
In the mind of that webmaster, Libertarians must be socially inept illiterates. |
