I would have shoved the flop but I'm a n00b.

After he reraises, just shove it.

Really? I really wasn't very happy with his re-raise, I thought this was a way ahead/way behind hand. This was my first $33, so I still don't have a very good feeling for what the average player is like at that level.

If you are going to call down anyways you definitely need to shove this flop.

At the 33s a lot of players will min-raise on their draws or a complete bluff thinking they are being "tricky."

The average 33 player sucks, I have found.

After he reraises, I think you need to either push or fold. I lean strongly towards pushing here, you will be shown a weaker ace hear a good percentage of the time. Calling down is too weak of a line IMO.

Nopes, but the result isn't important.

Did he show you AJ?
oh right results don't matter. The number of times that someone has and Ace one pair low kicker outweighs the 2 pair and set times. His flop reraise is a bit scary but I think you still have to push knowing most of the time your ahead. Sometimes in position you could just call and hope the villan bets the turn and then push it trapping the extra chips in there. The only problem is if the turn doesn't blank. In this situation it seems at this point that the villan likes his hand enough to be commited on the flop...push and pray

Yeah, shove after the raise. The problem with this is that the monkeys play AQ, AT, AJ, AK, QQ all the same way. Assume you began the hand ahead and play from there.

Don't play level-dependent (especially your first tournament, and especially on the weekend), play the same way you have all the way.
