Default Bar band (mini trip report)

So my hotel has no broadband in my room. So I'm downstairs in the slightly upscale bar during happy hour online and playing cards and surfing the internet (mmm cheap decent beer and women who will bring food to you while you play cards), and there's a singing group here. Their lead singer is a pretty hot asian chick with a relatively deep voice, which is ok until:

1) They play Complicated by Avril Lavigne. Whatever you think of her, the song is much worse when sung by a chick with a deep voice that can't hit the high notes. So the whole song sound flat and deep and really terrible.

2) A few songs later this chick commits one of the most heinous of sacrilidges; they play Black Magic Woman by Santana. Isn't it some kind of rule that women aren't allowed to sing that song??? And their guitarist doesn't even come remotely close to playing like Carlos Santana.

This is sad because they are pretty decent otherwise, but man, that was a one-two punch that really wrecked my opinion of them.
