With 9 people in at level five, your short stack is going to have to get lucky to make the money. Your are getting decent pot odds here, so you might as well go for the double up. 9 left in a 22 at level five, I think the table probably has been playing too tight and you should have loosened your game up a bit at the earlier levels. In a regular 22 a strong case can be made against this, but this table looks like it might've been one where a more aggressive strategy would have been very effective.
