Im not good in history, but besides the US I can think of Germany, Serbia, France, England, Irak, Japan, USSR. Is the US the one with the most?

And for a mere economics point of view. Is it helpful for your country's economy to be constantly involved in international conflicts?

Probably some contest between the Balkans and central African nations. Maybe a few central Asian ones as well. It's really hard to say without a definition of conflict. Do internal conflicts count?

War is generally bad for the economy. Only in extreme periods of demand depression (like the great depression) can it sometimes break a vicious financial cycle. In most cases it leads to an inefficient allocation of resources. You can't eat bullets.

Do covert actions count?
Does it have to last more then a week? What seperates and incident from a conflict? What seperates guerilla skrimished from conflict?

Would a prolonged conflict be one conflict or several. For instance, would Iraq 1991-Today be considered one conflict, two, several?

What if no shots are fired? Does the Cuban missle crisis count as a conflict?

While I'm thinking of it maybe India/Pakistan?

Granting that all conflicts that a country might have been involved in were not justified involvements, it nonethless remains evident that those countries with the most power and willingness to use it to defend both their interests and freedom in general will be involved in more conflicts than those with lesser abilities or willingness to appease dictatorial regimes.

It depends how you define conflict, but if you set the bar such that it means a fairly sustained external war involving real mobilization of the armed forces and real armed conflict, then I see a tie:

US

WWI
WWII
Korea
Vietnam
Desert Storm
Bosnia

(So Bay of Pigs and Grenada don't make the cut, and neither do any of the other Latin American cases where we were supporting wars financially or using limited US personnel. Note too that we have wars just before and after the century too in the Spanish-American war and the war in Afghanistan.)

Russia/Soviet Union

Russo-Japanese War
WWI
WWII
Hungary
Afghanistan
Chechnya

(So Czechoslovakia doesn't count because they never really fought.)

It is a fairly good bet that the US will have the most in te next century too with China also fairly likely. The most powerful country and its biggest challengers are likely to be the most bellicose, just like England and Russia in the 19th century.

Yeah I forgot that one but I'm not sure it counts with my criteria anyway.
