I know people hate to hear this, but I think you should fold pf. Calling an 8xbb raise with suited connectors out of position heads up is likely to lose for you in the long run.
Regarding your flop play... the quality of your semibluff is really table dependent. Against good players, its probably good. Against bad players, its not so good. What was your plan if he called? |

Re: How\'s my play? 50NL semi-bluff c/r
The raise is only about 3.5xBB. About 5 percent of my stack.
Turn play is dependent on what comes off, K or A of spade comes off, I probably lead for 1/2 pot. I was pretty sure he missed the flop and was just continuation betting, very confident the c/r would win on the flop. |

Re: How\'s my play? 50NL semi-bluff c/r
Preflop: Bad. Only call this in position.
Flop: Good. Turn: Pot it if the flush hits. 1/2 - 3/4 PSB on any other non A/K. Check an A/K and call if you feel implied odds are good. P.S. 70BB is a really goofy stack size and can get you in trouble. I suggest either sitting half (50) or full (100). |
