Default Lotsa bets with an overpair.

Villain is 55/18/4.4 over a very large sample size. Yes, 4.4.

Pop the river or is this good?

Good. Don't raise the river. AA beats you, QQ just smoked you, and a 9 or 88 or 44 are crushing you. Not many hands left he would play this way - hopefully you're up against JJ or AQ or something, but raising is probably spewing.

You might want to revisit the preflop action.

JT too but I think the hands you list are unlikely for this villain (SB didn't 3-bet preflop).

I would raise this river. By the way the betting went, I don't think you were behind on the turn. So either your opponent outdrew on the river, or he is just donk betting thinking you won't raise (fearing JT).

I think he could play any 8 (more than 32 combos), and JT (16 combos) this way. I am confident that he will call your raise with any 8, and sometimes re-raise . So from this range of hands, you are more than 2-1 favorite on the river, so raising seems correct.

For the 32 combos of 8s, lets say (86, 87, T8, K8, Q8) are all possible. My guess is that he decided to bet his Queens up .
