Default Finish in 4th, 25% of the time. Bubble play too loose?

Sorry I don't have any records of my play, but I'll try to save some of them for future reference.

I've been landing ITM about 43% of the time, which is a HUGE improvement from my previous play. However, as the title states, I'm busting out in 4th about 25% of the time, which is the position I finish the most frequently in. I usually don't have too much of a problem getting to the bubble, but I'm usually short-ish stacked. (500-800 chips)

I've been going into push/fold mode when it's 4 handed with hands like Q8s, or KJo, or A-rag in SB or button when there are no other callers/raisers.

In general, is this the correct way to play?

Thanks a ton for any help!

You finish in the top 4 68% of the time?

Yeah sure guy.

:edit:

Hmm, I guess you're right.

This is out of relatively few SnG's though. I've played about 30 of them.

It sounds to me like you're either playing poorly early or pushing on the bubble too much. What stakes are this? What are you getting called with? Figure out a reasonable range of hands to put your opponents on and mess around with SnGPT to figure out what plays are reasonable.

Sorry for the lack of details guys,

These are $5+1 PartyPoker SnG's.

Out of 30 SnG's, I land ITM 42%, and 4th 25%.

I play pretty solid throughout the first four levels, I play position, my stack, and my cards relatively well. I'd say 2/3 times I'm lowstacked in the bubble, but the other 1/3 I'm even or the big stack.

I usually get called by A-rag, (which I count on, typically) or two paints.

Okay, I figured as much, but my concern is that most of my finishes are either in 3rd or 4th with little deviation.

Honestly. Nothing can be said until you have at least 100 times more games. And even then, not that much can be said. It is entirely possible that all your 4ths are due to unlucky hands.

A better way to see if you're playing bubble correctly would be to post some of the questionable hands.
