$4. TP, made it up as I went along.
$4 Pokerroom. 10 players. Few hands on villains but MP2 is tight preflop and CO is loose(maybe AG) preflop. Note my shortstack and that CO is a poster.
UTG folds, Hero ($200) raises to $16 in UTG+1 with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], MP2 (covers) calls, CO (covers)(poster) calls. Everyone else folds. Flop A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (pot $56) Hero bets $35, MP2 folds, CO calls Turn 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img](Pot $126) Hero checks, CO bets $70, Hero raises all-in ($70 more)?? Thanks James |

Re: $4. TP, made it up as I went along.
Check folding and checkraising this turn are pretty close I think. I don't like any other line, betting allows a worse hand to fold, and a better hand will never fold. Depends on how loose agg you think this opponent is... So I guess it's ok but even against the perfect opponent, expect to lose pretty often.
EDIT: Oh, right you are 10-handed... OK, I hate preflop raise, and you are losing like always on this turn. Macquarie is right. |

Re: $4. TP, made it up as I went along.
A call preflop may make the hand easier to play but a raise can't ever be too wrong.
On the turn, I would play very differently if he hadn't posted. This makes his hand range quite broad preflop and should include a number of worse aces. Anyway, he folded to my raise. I'm not at all sure about my play but with the ace of suit out and a 50BB stack I don't think its a clear cut check/fold. What do you all think? Thanks, James |
