Default 2-5 Spread Limit Games - How to play

Wanted to run some thoughts by everyone here regarding how to play in 2-5 spread limit games. One blind only, ($2). Definitely a loose game, some pre-flop raising, usually to $7 (including the blind). Post-flop, usually a bet and limited raising on most streets. When the pot is raised, most of the time the raises are at $5 on each street.

I realize this is a pretty simple scenario, but it seems to me that in this type of game, suited connectors go down in value (unless they also have high-card value) and you should tighten up to playing more premium hands. I think flush and straight draws go way down in value as they are very costly given that the flop bets are typically just as expensive as the turn and river.

Obviously, that also means that when I am in a hand that I want to play with on the flop and there is a possible flush/straight draw on the board, I should make it expensive for the draws by betting the max on the flop.

I appreciate any thoughts. I'm still a newbie, with about 20 hrs or so in a b&m casino. I've certainly been doing my share of reading, though!
